Kevin Newark Experimentaion

Here i tried to emulate the work of Kevin Newark by using plastic bags as my main subject.

               

            

I began by using a jar to put the bag in, with a light shining from the side to get the glowing/floating effect that is found in Newark work. I didn't find this successful because it doesn't give the dark, illuminated, iridescent effect i wanted.


                     I then went on to work in the sink to see what effect this would give...

I began by placing a black cloth in the sink filled with water and using this as my background.

I then began to add black into to see what effect this would give.. 

This effect was somewhat effect but it just wasn't giving me what i wanted.

I then went on to moving this to a bucket with more depth and width so that there was more space around the bag.

               

             

I then decided to spray the bag whilst in the water to add a more murky and dirty look to the bag making it look old and disgarded -

Further more i thought id just try to add some smoke to see what it would do - 

             

                                                                                

I don't really feel the smoke added to it but it was still interesting to experiment

Overall i feel this was successful and i would like to experiment further to see what my outcome would be.

Editing

I went back and decided to edit my images to see what i could do to draw the eye to the people in the windows.

Bus Windows Experimentation/Andrew Miskys

                I also decided to focus on the bus door itself and who was coming or going.

              

             

         

After taking these pictures i feel it would be more better to use a telescopic lens to get more closer to the bus windows without haven't to get closer physically. Overall i feel these images work well but it would be better if i got closer.
